Deborah Scheffers


Deborah Scheffers studied and graduated Illustrative Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht in 2002. She worked at a design company named Rigby Print Norwich Great Britain, where she mostly designed and illustrated for theatres. During her study she did an internship with the famous illustrator Fiel van der Veen fielvanderveen.nl and with illustrator Ien van Laanen ienvanlaanen.nl, also famous for the Dutch illustration covers of Harry Potter. In 2005 she worked as a graphic designer at Smart Project Space, working on the art project ADAM, in which 20 international artists collaborated. After Deborahart worked with artist Job Koelewijn and she illustrated and made the animations for Free Your Mind Festival in Arnhem, 2008 and 2009 freeyourmindfestival.nl. Next to her graphic and illustrative jobs, she also exhibited her prints and paintings in Outland (Amsterdam) and Gallery Chiellerie (Amsterdam) in 2009.
